BBS 20 FIFO Buffer
|
FPS 10B SPI Buffer Station
|
The BBS 20 buffer station consists of multiple closed conveyor segments built on top of each other for intermediate storage of up to 20 PCBs for subsequent handover to the downstream system. Arriving PCBs are taken over onto the buffer segment and positioned. If required, the PCBs can be buffered and automatically handed over to the downstream machine using the FIFO principle. It can be used to store PCBs after an oven, a pickand place or inspection (AOI) system for compensation of processrelated downtimes. The BBS 20 functions according to the FIFO (First In / First Out) principle. The design of the buffer means that it can easily process PCBs with cut-outs.

The buffer station FPS 10B SPI is used to store assemblies which have been tested as „good“ or bad“. Arriving PCBs are taken over onto the buffer segment and positioned. „Bad“ PCBs are always buffered and are only unloaded on request from the operator. „Good“ PCBs are only buffered when required and automatically available on demand from the downstream system. The machine is characterized by its short cycle times and can be used for example downstream from a solder paste inspection system (SPI) to compensate for process-related downtimes. The FPS 10B SPI functions according to the FIFO (First In / First Out) principle and can store up to 10 assemblies. The buffer itself consists of multiple closed conveyor segments built on top of each other which can also easily process PCBs with cut-outs.

MPS 50 Magazine Buffer Station
|
FPS 30B Closed process buffer
|
The MPS 50 combines the functionality of a magazine loader and a magazine unloader in one unit. Incoming PCB’s can be stored in a magazine and on demand from a following unit they can be pushed out and transferred. The unit is equipped with a conveyer underneath the magazine for pass-through mode.

MPS 100 Magazine Buffer Station
|
PS 05 / 08 / 10 Small capacity vertical processing buffer
|
The MPS 100 combines the functionality of magazine loader and unloader in one unit. Incoming PCB’s can be stored in a magazine and on demand from a following unit they can be pushed out and transferred. The unit is equipped with a conveyer underneath the magazine for pass-through mode. This unit is also equipped with two magazines and two magazine axles. This allows for a higher buffer capacity, three sorting possibilities and also the possibility of separate drives for each magazine. The unit can for example function with the first magazine as a storage unit and the second magazine as a loading unit, both functioning independently of one another.
- Buffering of PCB inside a magazine
- Capacity: 2 magazine
- Buffer capacity depending to the rack system

- LIFO
- FIFO
- Pass through
- Loading
- Unloading
- Sorting good / bad (option)
- Cooling (option)
- Cycle time 6 – 20 sec. (depending on setup mode)
- Machine designed to magazine size
OPTIONS
- Automatic width adjustment
- Magazine specific clamping mechanism
- Lifting conveyor
- Good/ bad sorting
|
The unit temporarily stores PCB’s in vertically aligned transport segments and then transfers them to the following unit.

- Buffering on conveyor belts
- Capacity: PS05 – 5 Slots, PS08 – 8 Slots, PS10 -10 Slots

- Buffering on FIFO-principle or LIFO-principle (adjustable)
- Machine without pushers
- Cycle time per PCB pro 10 – 15 sec. (at FIFO)
- Compact design
- Small footprint
- Simple operation
- Cycle time < 10 sec.
- Open construction
- Separately driven transport belts
- Minimal floor space required
- Vertical storing of PCB’s
- Electric width adjustment
- Possible operating modes:
– LIFO – FIFO – Pass through – Push in – Push out – Good-/ bad sorting
OPTIONS
- Automatic width adjustment
|
PS 30 / 40 Medium capacity vertical processing buffer
|
PS 70 High capacity vertical processing buffer
|

The PS30 receives the PCB’s from the incoming conveyor and stores them by utilize a vertically aligned toothed belt. On demand from the following unit the PCB’s can be lowered back down onto the conveyor and transferred. The unit only works in a LIFO mode.
- Capacity: PS30 – 30 Slots, PS40 – 40 Slots
- LIFO- buffer

- Load- function
- Unload- function
- Pass-through mode
OPTIONS
- Automatic width adjustment
- Good/ bad sorting
- Cooling function
- Inspection mode
|
The PS70 receives the PCB’s from upstream and stores them utilising a vertically aligned sprocket belt. Once downstream is calling for a board, the buffer will index, down to release the last board. Only LIFO mode is possible.
- Closed construction
- Minimal floor space required
- Simple operation
- Electric width adjusting
- Pass-through mode
- LIFO-buffer
OPTIONS
- Automatic width adjustment
- Good/ bad sorting
- Cooling function
- Infeed and outlet conveyor
|
PPS 70 Portal Lift System |
The PPS70 consists of a lifting mechanism, an overhead passage and a vertical buffer belt on the output side of the unit. Incoming PCB’s are transported upwards with the lift, they are then cycled through the overhead segment and transported back down using the vertical buffer belt. The buffer belt places the PCB’s onto the conveyor and transfers them to the following unit. Due to the construction of the unit can only function on the FIFO principal.
- Depending on the application, the lifts can also be equipped with a turning table
- Passage width freely definable
- Turning station can be integrated in the passage
- Cycle time x PCB <18 seconds
- Interruption of long production lines
- Optimal supply of the line modules (e.g. with components) guaranteed
