Buffering

Buffering of PCB’s is important in assembly lines.
Intermediate or finished products can always be temporarily stored and buffered, thus decoupling the individual process steps.To do it we have stack based buffer, PCB fifo buffer and PCB buffer tower with conveyor belts for a very sort cycle time.

VEGO Dynamic PS05, PS08, PS10

The unit temporarily stores PCB’s in vertically aligned transport segments and then transfers them to the following unit. Arriving PCB´s will be stored on horizontal driven conveyorbelts and beeing positioned. With a vertical lift axle the single segments will be positioned for buffering/ unbuffering. Every segment is equipped with a seperate conveyor-belt, which can easily process PCB´s with sideward cut-outs.

VEGO Dynamic FPS 10B

The buffer station FPS 10B SPI is used to store assemblies which have been tested as „good“ or bad“. Arriving PCBs are taken over onto the buffer segment and positioned. „Bad“ PCBs are always buffered and are only unloaded on request from the operator. „Good“ PCBs are only buffered when required and automatically available on demand from the downstream system. The machine is characterized by its short cycle times and can be used for example downstream from a solder paste inspection system (SPI) to compensate for process-related downtimes. The FPS 10B SPI functions according to the FIFO (First In / First Out) principle and can store up to 10 assemblies. The buffer itself consists of multiple closed conveyor segments built on top of each other which can also easily process PCBs with cut-outs.

VEGO Compact BBS 20

The BBS 20 buffer station consists of multiple closed conveyor segments built on top of each other for intermediate storage of up to 20 PCBs for subsequent handover to the downstream system.
Arriving PCBs are taken over onto the buffer segment and positioned. If required, the PCBs can be buffered and automatically handed over to the downstream machine using the FIFO principle. It can be used to store PCBs after an oven, a pickand place or inspection (AOI) system for compensation of processrelated downtimes. The BBS 20 functions according to the FIFO (First In / First Out) principle. The design of the buffer means that it can easily process PCBs with cut-outs.

VEGO Dynamic FPS 30B

VEGO Dynamic PS30, PS40

The buffer receives the PCB’s from upstream and stores them utilising a vertically toothed belt. Once downstream is calling for a board, the buffer will index, down to release the last board. Only LIFO mode is possible.

The buffer combines the functionality of a magazine loader and a magazine unloader in one unit. Incoming PCB’s can be stored in a magazine and on demand from a following unit they can be pushed out and transferred. The unit is equipped with a conveyer underneath the magazine for pass-through mode.

VEGO Dynamic PS 70

The buffer receives the PCB’s from upstream by a conveyorbelt and stores them upwards by using vertically mounted toothed belts. For unbuffering, the vertical toothed belts are lowering the stored PCB´s onto the conveyer-belt, which handover the PCB to the following machine. The buffer is only working in LiFo-mode.

VEGO Dynamic MPS 100

The buffer combines the functionality of magazine loader and unloader in one unit. Incoming PCB’s can be stored in a magazine and on demand from a following unit they can be pushed out and transferred. The unit is equipped with a conveyer underneath the magazine for pass-through mode. This unit is also equipped with two magazines and two magazine axles. This allows a high buffer capacity, three sorting possibilities and also the possibility of a separate
use for each magazine. For example the unit can be used with the first magazine as a storage unit and the second magazine as a loading unit, both functioning independently of each other.
