INSIGNUM 3000 Label
With the INSIGNUM 3000 Label, versatile materials and various component heights can be marked by applying labels. The labels are first marked by a thermal transfer printer and checked for readability by a camera system before being picked up. The labels are lifted by a vacuum nozzle, aligned by the camera system and applied to the specified positions. The angular degree of the label placement is freely adjustable, thanks to a rotatable applicator head (± 180°). This combination enables precise positioning of ± 0.5 mm. The position of the labels can be determined in advance via our offline programming station. This prevents unnecessary downtimes.
Optionally, the code can be read again after application. This ensures a maximum of safety.
For more flexibility an additional thermal transfer printer can be implemented in the machine. This makes it possible to process two different label sizes in one process step.

Thermal Transfer Process
In the thermal transfer process, the labels are printed via an integrated printer using an ink ribbon. The right combination of ribbon and label material ensures high resistance to environmental influences. For particularly reliable scanning results ASYS uses 600dpi printers, with which a high contrast and sharp contours are achieved. Label sizes up to 5mm can be processed. Fields of application for label marking are e.g. component rolls, components on PCBs, housings or classic PCB marking.
- High durability
- Label sizes up to 5mm
